Fun Forest to Border Track (15/11/2023, 11:48:31)

Started out following the Major Mitchell track and ended up going through forest some logging forests and ithers native. Native felt much like Fraser Island. Bit sandy in places. Found ourselves at the SA border and went to Penola.

Dry weather only. Heavy washouts and steep climbs/descents no good for trailers. You need high clearance, soft-roaders need not apply.

Batavia Gold Mine (23/6/2023

13.9 km

Track is at top of river crossing on left. Drive in and turn right at the grave of Thomas Power. Lots of old machinery in there with shafts and mullock heaps all through the bush.
