DAY 3 ROUTE SUMARY
When dry, the day 3 main route is suitable for all intermediate skilled riders. Caution should be taken at all times by all riders while on route.

Remember to keep left at all times. The roads you are traveling along are not exclusive to you. BEWARE OF ON COMING TRAFFIC.

STOP ONLY IN HIGH VISIBILITY AREAS well off the road in a completely safe area

In the case of wet weather and or should the route be closed for any reason as advised by event management, you may delay your departure until 10.00am before taking the old Pacific highway to Urunga through Nambucca heads.There’s plenty to see and do in Coffs Harbour.

Today’s route will be unsuitable in the event of rain.

BREAKOUT ROUTE
There is one available break out route today of approximately 100kms. Today’s breakout route has some moderately challenging sections and is suitable for intermediate skilled riders.

LUGGAGE TRUCK
Luggage truck opens at 7.00am -8.00am. Please deliver your bag to the luggage truck within this time window.

FUEL
Commence the day with a full tank of fuel. Fuel is available at:
* Port Macquarie
* Willawarren
* Urunga
Upon arriving in Urunga, remember to fuel up before attending your accommodation. It’s easier to start the next day full of fuel ready to go.

BREAKFAST
7.00am -8.30am
Bacon & egg rolls, plus cereal, tea and coffee available at the NRMA Breakwall Caravan Park (same location as the luggage truck). Breakfast supplied by Moto Trekkin is inclusive of your event ticket.

If you desire something different for breakfast and your hotel provides breakfast, please advise your hotel the prior evening. All hotel in-house eating or breakfast at local cafes is at your own expense.

COLLECT LUNCH
Lunch will be available for collection at the Luggage truck location from 7.15am.

Collect 1x sandwich 1x bottle of water 1x piece of fruit and 1x sweet treat to take with you.

Please do not use available bottled water to fill your hydro backpacks.

ROUTE OPENS 7.30am
You must not commence the route prior to 7.30am

Event management will advise participants when they can commence departing at approximately 7.00am. All participants must depart Port Macquarie no later than 9.30am

ARE YOU INJURED OR FATIGUED?
If you feel you are not capable of riding off-road today for any reason including unsuitable weather, physical or mental fatigue, we recommend you ride directly to Urunga taking either the old Pacific Hwy or the M1 arrive early and take some time to explore Coffs Harbour. There is plenty to see and do in town from exploring the Jetty area, to visiting the big banana centre or enjoying local cafes and bars.

IMPORTANT NAVIGATION POINTS
> Only use the Hema Explorer App for navigating. It is the primary and ONLY supported navigation aid on this adventure. We do not support Garmin or other GPS units. If you attempt to use any other form of navigation, you will likely be taken off the planned route, could become lost, and possibly run out of fuel. Support vehicles will only sweep the planned route as displayed in Hema.

> Only display the days main route and chosen breakout routes (if preferred) for the day to avoid navigation confusion. If you have been using HEMA for previous navigation, be sure to clear all your old routes from your the map screen, to exclusively show the Ridge Rider Day three main route plus the available breakout route if attempting it.

> Turn the days route to bright magenta and the break out routes to black. Magenta and black are two of the easiest colours to see while riding.

> If you stop for photos or any other reason on route, pull off the track to a completely safe area. Do not risk a collision by stopping in areas of high dust or on corners where riders could run wide and collide with you or your motorcycle. Keep your safety and the safety of other riders at the top of your mind at all times.

> Don’t speed, ride to reduce the risk of accident. Reduce speed, dust and noise near homes, look after fellow riders, overtake with caution, safety and courtesy in mind and KEEP LEFT on right handers.

> Do not leave the marked route under any circumstance. There is no event support of any kind including sweep vehicles off the planned route.

WELFARE CHECKS
> When passing a stopped participant give a thumbs up before passing. In return, if stopped on the side of the road, give an early thumbs up to passing riders so they know you’re okay and can keep going. If you need assistance give a thumbs down. Don’t waive your arms, passing riders might wave back and keep riding - give a thumbs down.

IMPORTANT - TODAY IS THE LARGEST DAY OF THE EVENT.

Timings for today have been bought forward to accommodate the longer distance.

LUGGAGE TRUCK
Luggage truck opens at 6.00am -7.00am. Please deliver your duffle bags to the truck within this time window.

Luggage truck is located at the Redhill Motor Inn - same location as the previous day.

BREAKFAST
6.30am - 7.30am

ROUTE SUMMARY
Expect scenic trails and awesome views all day.

The Route beyond Jackadgery closes at 3.00pm. If you’re not at Jackadgery by 3.00pm you will be required to take the black tip in.

ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
* Park safely off the road
* Move up the road to warn oncoming riders
* When all approaching riders are being adequately warned, either by you or other riders, assistance can be rendered to the downed rider.
* Continually warning approaching riders is critical to everyone’s safety, and is the highest priority to prevent additional collisions at the same accident site.

STAY ON THE ROUTE
If you leave the marked route, you do so at your own risk. There is no medical, recovery, mechanical support or emergency fuel off the marked route. If you break down or run out of fuel or cannot continue for any reason, DO NOT leave the marked route. We will find you.

LEAD RIDERS
Moto Trekkin Lead riders will leave one hour earlier than everyone else to check the routes and mark any obstacles on the route such as recently fallen trees washouts or other dangers. You MUST NOT overtake the lead riders if you happen to catch them.
