Mount Hay Road
12.9 kmNice trail to the Mount Hay walking track...sensational views overlooking the Grose Gorge
Chichester & Avon River State Forest
63.2 kmA trip from Dungog into the Chichester State Forest. Stopped to walk to both Jerusalem Creek and Dundungra Falls - well worth the side trip. Original plan was to take the Gloucester River Rd to meet up with Gloucester Tops Rd, but a large tree was blocking the path about 500m into the track. Found a great muddy side track just after the sign posted Problem Creek turnoff.
Finchley Trig Lookout to Putty Rd via Howes Trail
70.0 kmWe actually started the drive from Wisemans Ferry - track #4 from the 4WD Treks Close to Sydney book. I just forgot to start the app to log the entire trip! In saying that, it is a great drive of varying terrain - the Boree track that leads to the Aboriginal carvings is moderate (more so if it were wet) and the same with the Howes Trail Rd that leads to Putty Road. Well worth a day trip, albeit a long one! Next time we plan to get the key so we can access the Big Yango Loop trail.
