Barrington Tops
71.7 kmA day of driving what would normally be quite easy tracks, but add rain, and the difficulty level increases dramatically on the clay and mud :-)
Vic High Country Day 4
100.6 kmDay 4, and a bit slow going in the morning.
Stopped at a few huts along the way including the infamous Craig's Hut.
Bindaree falls was also a highlight. It was flowing, but I can imagine with more rain and snow it'd be a torrent!
As this was our last day, we took some tracks which led us in a northerly direction.
Vic High Country Day 3
126.3 kmThis was a fantastic day.
The weather was perfect.
First up was Billy Goat Bluff. What an amazing track, which then led us to The Pinnacles with outstanding views.
Checked out a few huts on the way to our camp for the night at Lovicks Hut.
Bluff track was a nightmare. Not difficult, just slow
Vic High Country Day 2
103.7 kmDay 2 started with about 24 crossings of Crooked Creek. The water levels were very low, so basically ankle deep.
Took the long way to the infamous Dargo Pub for lunch via some excellent tracks. Some steep, and a lot of fun.
Camped along the Wonnangatta river at a very nice camping ground.
Vic High Country Day 1
105.2 kmDay 1 was a reasonably easy day, the highlight being Blue Rag Range.
Great easy track with spectacular views.
Camped at Talbotville (with the cows). Excellent campsite.
Wheeny Creek (Gees Arm South)
17.2 kmA technical and challenging track.
3 Prado 150s took on this track and we had a lot of fun.
Conquered all of the step-ups except one where we all had to winch. There were no rocks nearby, so wood was used to pack the step, which proved to be unsuccessful.
All in all, a great day, and we made it to the lookout !!!
Note: The trackplot starts at our air-down point
Middle Earth & Monkey Gum
19.1 kmA bunch of Prado 150s plus a ring in Navara took on these two tracks.
Quite enjoyable with some challenging washed out sections.
The day was dry, and so were the tracks.
The Prados handles the day with ease, but the Nav just couldn't get traction and was constantly struggling. So a lot of right foot and some occasional winching was required.
NSW Prado 150 Group @ Bylong Day 2
