GSRT13a-Torbay Head Return Option
14 km return.
This Route is for experienced 4wdrivers.
It should not be attempted by one vehicle alone.
If you elect to follow this Route you should have sufficient recovery gear, preferably including a winch.
Deflate your tyres.
Ensure that you have sufficient daylight hours to make the return journey before dark.
There is a very real possibility that you will get stuck and/or do vehicle damage.
There is a local farmer who charges $400 (2018) for recovery - after you have walked many kilometres through loose, black sand. Think:
Do I need to go there.
Is my vehicle capable of gong there.
Am I capable of driving it there (and back).
