4. White Beach to Hobart

96.7 km

At Port Arthur we did the harbour tour stopping off at Point Puer. The ferry cat motored out into the inlet that takes you out to sea from the relative shelter of the bay. After spending the day (Saturday)at Port Arthur we arrived in Hobart late afternoon Saturday. We checked in and set off to wander the Hobart waterfront. We dined at Fish Frenzy on the recommendation of a couple we met at the Storm Bay guest house, we then wandered some more checking out the sites shops and boats.

Sunday saw us head back into Hobart to breakfast, see Parliament House, shop, visit the Tasmania Museum and Gallery, see the Korean Icebreaker Arcan set to sea, shop some more, have a bakery lunch and drive upto Mount Nelson signal station lookout.

3. Coles Bay to White Beach

270.8 km

Awoke early in Coles Bay so went for walk along the beach and photographed the peaks of Freycinet NP. After breakfast we packed and drove into the NP for the day. We did the walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout and walked on to Wineglass Bay. Paddled the feet, sat in the shade admiring the view. I was photographing the bay near the water's edge and a large seal swam in, just to my back, and poked his head up for a look. I only saw him swimming away, DAMN. After walking out we drove out to Toularouse lighthouse for a look see, helped some girls with ignition trouble and then drove Back into to Coles Bay Town Centre for snacks before driving onto White Beach.

We arrive at Storm Bay guest house about 5.30, checked in and then went to Nubeena to check the dinner options. We settled on having Pizza by the side of Parsons Bay.
