Got up and spent a few hours in the Mungarannie workshop going over bikes, lot of loose bolts etc. Kym patched the sidewall of his tyre with a gator and patched the tube that let go the previous day. We thanked the crew at Mungarannie with shouting them a beer at 10am (photo attached). We headed off then 20km up the road, bang, another flat rear on Kym's bike, the tube patch didn't seal, another tyre change!! 200km from Birdsville we came across a new Landrover Discovery, 2 flat tyres and they couldn't get help, we assisted with placing plugs in the tyre to get them into Birdsville, the arrogant poms didn't even thank us when we saw them at Birdsville having dinner at pub!! We stopped for a coffee at a wrecked car 100km from Birdsville. Had dinner down at the famous Birdsville pub then camped at the caravan park down alongside the Diamantina River.

Very hard day of riding, average speed of only 30km/hr!! Tight rocky creeks and hills, we are all absolutely spent tonight!! More issues were had, my rear shock blew a hose so I have no shock and am riding a pogo stick, still unsure what to do as we still have circa 3k Kim's to go, we are diverting course and heading into Leigh Creek and Copley to look at possible repairs, the seals will be shagged so doubt anyone can assist, camped in a creek bed tonight. Saying of the day goes to Matt Booth - after leaving Arkaroola he says what could possibly go wrong now!!! Under 300km for the day!!

Booth had the tools out 6km in fixing mirrors etc, he hit a sheep at 60km mark and killed it!! Very lucky with minor damage to bike, dropped into morgan for a beer then stayed at pine valley shearers quarters the night
